Amanda and Mike were married on July 16th, with a ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Milford, NJ, and a reception at Casa Bianca in Oak Ridge, NJ.
The beautiful ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s, the oldest Catholic community in New Jersey, dating back to 1765. The current church, the third one to be built, was erected in 1905, and it was a perfect backdrop for this wedding. The details were beautiful, not only in the church but also with the amazing flowers done by Floriography Designs.
What stuck out to me most during this wedding was the huge family presence that these two had. They had so many aunts, uncles and cousins at the wedding, along with 8 grandparents. Amanda’s uncle, Reverend Steven Shadwell, even married them!
Mike’s brother, Connor, was supposed to be at the wedding, but he is stationed overseas in the US Navy. So instead, he sent a pre-recorded message to play during the toasts, and the family carried around a life-sized photo of him at the wedding.
From there, the rest of the reception saw everyone having a blast partying with Gemini Productions, the DJ for the night—and there was an awesome sparkler send-off by the end of the night!
Mike & Amanda, thank you so much for letting me be part of your day! I loved getting to know not only you but your loving family!
