Laura and Nick worked for a pharmaceutical marketing company and met at a work-related function in NYC while she was working in New York and he was working in Chicago. Eventually, they were both transferred to San Francisco, where they got engaged.
I started out the day at Laura’s parents’ home, while my second shooter, Mary, started out at the nearby Embassy Suites with the guys. Everyone was extraordinarily nice and easy to work with—especially the bridal party: Katie, the maid of honor and Laura’s sister; and Kris and Sean, the best men and Nick’s best friends. We joined up together at St. Peters to shoot the ceremony, and the entire bridal party was full of smiles.
After that, we were able to arrive at Knoll well before the reception to take advantage of the golf course and grounds for photos. There was a threat of rain all day, but it held off until the photos were complete and the reception started. Even still, I loved the light on such an overcast day!
Thank you, Nick & Laura, for allowing me to be part of your day. You were so easy to work with—fun and obviously in love with each other—and I adored being part of your celebrations. Thank you also to Kip and the staff at the Knoll CC as well as our Kaan from Kaan Tulgar Cinematography.
