I first met Margaret and Glen about a year ago when I shot their engagement photos at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, NJ. Their story began in high school, where they first met in physics class. Now they have entered a wonderful new chapter in their lives as they tied the knot on a gorgeous summer day with their family and close friends.
The wedding took place at the beautiful Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, NJ. After the bride got ready in the on-site bridal suite, the couple had their first look on the dock by the water. The ceremony was held right on the shore of the lake with sweeping views of the water. Blue skies, plenty of sunshine, and lush summer-green woods surrounding the lake–their big day was the quintessential summer wedding.
The bride wore a lace dress with delicate flutter sleeves while the groom and wedding party looked modern yet timeless in gray suits and cobalt blue dresses. In many ways, the bride’s bouquet and the couple’s choice of flowers for the wedding spoke volumes about the whole affair; beautiful blue delphiniums with bright and stunning sunflowers, it was classic with plenty of fun.
The wedding was intimate and had plenty of personal touches. It was a pleasure for me to capture this special day for them as the couple celebrated with their family and close friends; it was a fun group. Congratulations, Margaret and Glen!
