I got to know Lauren and Griffin a few months ago when we shot their engagement photos. Lauren–a NICU nurse and one of three triplet girls–is a beautiful and outgoing bride while the groom, Griffin, is a bit more laid back. The couple met while they were both in college at James Madison University.

Lauren and Griffin wanted to keep with the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the wedding ceremony, so we used the time typically reserved for first look photos for portraits of Lauren and her bridesmaids instead. It was a cold December day, but the ladies braved the chill and the results were definitely worth it.

The ceremony was held at Our Lady of the Lake in Sparta, NJ. After the traditional Catholic service, everyone headed over to the reception held in The Barn at Perona Farms.

Lauren and Griffin planned a beautiful reception for their family and friends. The warm glow of the chandlier, string lights, and candles created a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The amber uplighting highlighted the unique structures of the wooden barn and made it a stunning backdrop to the celebration. Centerpieces featured black pearl roses, mother of pearl roses, and burgundy astilbe arranged in a silver mercury pedestal bowl. Everything spoke to a rustic elegance.

The highlights of the day were the personal touches that made Lauren and Griffin’s wedding unique to their special day. For example, all the men in the bridal party wore black patent leather high-tops. During the reception, Lauren’s grandfather serenaded Lauren and her dad during their father-and-daughter dance. To top it off, Griffin surprised Lauren with a photo montage about their relationship.

It was a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. Congratulations, Lauren and Griffin!
